As time turns and the years renew, brilliance ever shines on.

As the scroll of 2025 gently closes, we have reaped a rich harvest on the fertile soil of education. As new hope dawns, Changchun Nanhu Experimental Middle School now stands at an even higher starting point for development.

Looking back on the year, all members of the Nanhu community have stayed united and forged ahead with fortitude. We consolidated our foundation through the historic relocation to a new campus. We gathered momentum with an expanded, invigorated faculty. We demonstrated our sense of responsibility through breakthroughs in education outcomes. With diligence and wisdom, we have written a new chapter of high-quality development for the school.

At this warm moment of bidding farewell to the old and welcoming the new, on behalf of Changchun Nanhu Experimental Middle School, I extend my deepest respect and sincere New Year greetings to all faculty and staff who devote themselves to teaching and nurturing young minds, to every Nanhu student who pursues knowledge with unremitting effort, and to all friends from all walks of life who care for and support the school’s development.

2025 was a year of endeavour for our school, as we thoroughly studied and implemented the guiding principles of the Outline of the Plan for Building a Strong Country in Education (2024–2035), pooled our strengths and took proactive steps. It was also a crucial stage for us to sail courageously and break new ground amid the tide of the times.

Over the year, everyone at Nanhu has kept pace with the times and marched forward with the motherland, building on our past achievements and striving ahead. We have taken solid steps on the new journey of building a first-class private middle school in Jilin Province.

This year, moving south with a renewed campus, we elevated our educational layout to a new level.

The autumn semester of 2025 will go down as a milestone in Nanhu’s history. The school officially relocated from Century Square to its new campus on Tianze Dalu Road, completing a historic leap in its educational space.

The new campus upholds the philosophy of green ecology, people-oriented humanism, openness and inclusiveness, and smart technology, with upgraded scale and quality. It features spacious and bright classrooms, well-equipped special venues, intelligent teaching facilities and thoughtfully arranged landscapes, creating an excellent environment for teaching and learning.

This relocation is more than a change of address. It is an expansion of the school’s development landscape. It marks a crucial step in optimizing the distribution of high-quality educational resources and laying a solid foundation for the school’s future growth.

This year, guided by Party building and rooted in brand development, we shone brighter in our educational mission.

In 2025, the school deepened the development of its Party building brand Cultivating the Root, Casting the Soul, Fostering Virtue and Talent and innovatively implemented the “5+3” Working Approach.

We consolidated the foundation of Party building by strengthening five areas: education and training for Party members, faculty development, the implementation of dual responsibilities for professional work and Party affairs, the translation of development achievements, and the building of a harmonious campus.

We carried out a series of Party history education activities themed “Learn, Speak, Act”, integrating the red gene into the bloodstream of education. We built a moral education system featuring “Party building guidance, full participation and whole-person education”, fostering patriotism among teachers and students through red culture education, volunteer services and patriotic-themed activities, and putting into practice our school motto: Glory to Our School, Devotion to Our Country; Our Generation Takes On the Mission.

We cultivated backbone teachers through mentorship, expert guidance and off-campus training, providing growth platforms for young teachers and giving full play to the exemplary role of Party members on the frontline of education.

This year, empowered by AI and integrated with technology, we embraced educational transformation with an open mind.

In 2025, AI-empowered teaching became the core engine of educational innovation. From the first lesson of the spring semester, when AI robot dogs entered classrooms and ignited students’ passion for science and innovation, to the launch of the AI-Empowered Teaching Promotion Conference in the second semester, all subjects across the school actively explored ways to deeply integrate AI into teaching.

Taking collective lesson planning as a platform, teachers shared practical cases of AI in student progress analysis, personalized instruction and resource integration, enabling technology to truly improve classroom quality and education effectiveness.

In a special survey on AI-empowered teaching by the Changchun Basic Education Research Center, our school’s exploration in integrating smart technology with teaching was highly praised, demonstrating the Nanhu practice of classroom transformation under the “Double Reduction” Policy.

We take particular pride in hosting the 2nd Jilin Provincial Conference on the Innovative Development of Future Schools on December 11, 2025.

As the host, Nanhu Education Group consisting of Three Schools & One Kindergarten showcased new models and paths for future schools through an education achievement exhibition, based on its advanced educational philosophy, innovative nurturing model and smart campus construction.

It provided replicable Nanhu experience for the innovative development of basic education in the province, greatly enhancing the school’s influence and reputation in the education sector.

This year, through inter-school collaboration and mutual growth in training and teaching, we achieved new breakthroughs in educational cooperation.

In 2025, inter-school exchanges, cooperation and national training programs flourished. Nanhu Education Group signed a framework cooperation agreement on the Community for Connotation-Oriented Development with Changchun No.11 High School.

The two sides will take the community as a platform to bring high-quality education to more families and help Changchun become a pacesetter for high-quality educational development in Jilin Province and even the whole country.

Throughout the year, we hosted more than ten National Training Programs, Provincial Training Programs, New Era Master Teachers Community projects and cross-regional teaching research activities, covering Chinese, mathematics, physics, chemistry, geography, biology, mental health, physical education and other disciplines. More than 1,000 educators visited Nanhu for training and exchange.

Through special reports, demonstration lessons, collective lesson planning and campus tours, the school shared its achievements in school-based curriculum development and teaching innovation. Meanwhile, we organized teachers to participate in high-level academic events such as the China English Teaching Seminar in Chongqing, introducing cutting-edge educational ideas and promoting the exchange of insights and experience.

This year, we excelled in the Senior High School Entrance Examination, with proud achievements once again.

In the 2025 Senior High School Entrance Examination, Nanhu students delivered an outstanding performance with calmness and perseverance:

Among 826 students, 434 scored above 700 points, accounting for 52.54%.

531 students reached the first-tier admission line, representing 64.29%.

87 students were admitted to the High School Attached to Northeast Normal University, continuing our tradition of top-tier student output.

Results in geography and biology were especially remarkable:

420 students achieved full marks in geography, 52.90%.

503 students achieved full marks in biology, 63.35%.

346 students achieved full marks in both subjects.

All these achievements stem from daily accumulation and teamwork, and are the natural result of the sound development of Nanhu’s educational ecosystem.

This year, teachers and students progressed together, adding new glories to our honor roll.

In 2025, the Nanhu teaching team continued to pursue excellence, winning frequent awards in teaching competitions and research selections at all levels. Young teachers grew rapidly, while backbone teachers led and inspired others, forming a positive pattern of collaborative development. Adorned with honors, they have become brilliant calling cards of Nanhu Education, laying a solid foundation for its high-quality development.

19 teachers won awards in teaching competitions at national, provincial, municipal and district levels.

31 teachers delivered special lectures in various activities at all levels.

37 teachers gave highly acclaimed course demonstrations in national and provincial training programs.

58 teachers received Outstanding Instructor Awards in international, national, provincial and municipal competitions.

In 2025, Nanhu students also excelled in science and technology, sports and art, showing well-rounded competence and vibrant creativity.

80 students won awards in the 2025 Australian Mathematics Competition (AMC).

68 students won awards in the 2025 Kangaroo Math Competition.

41 students won awards in the American Mathematics Competition (AMC 8/9/10).

12 students won awards in the CAT International Youth Computational Thinking Challenge.

In addition:

Song Jirong won First Prize in the 2025 International Youth Artificial Intelligence Competition.

Wang Chuyue won Second Prize in the 2025 ROBOTCHALLENGE World Robot Challenge.

Zhang Xiwen Second Prize in the 2025 World Robot Conference Youth Robot Design Contest.

10 students won awards in the Academy Road·International Youth Artwork Invitational Tournament.

In 2025, Nanhu students won 240 international awards and 237 national awards.

Behind these achievements lie the relentless dedication and pursuit of our teachers and students, fully demonstrating the strong charm and vibrant vitality of Nanhu Education.

This year, guided by scientific research and grounded in deep classroom practice, our teaching quality reached a new level.

Under the guidance of the Expert Committee, the school’s research projects have been enriched at different levels. In 2025, our scientific research made new progress. Six municipal-level projects successfully passed mid-term reviews. Six municipal-level projects were successfully completed. Provincial-level projects are being advanced steadily.

The school attaches great importance to the cultivation and growth of teachers, and actively builds diverse platforms to support teachers’ professional development. All subject groups carried out collective lesson preparation with rich content and various forms. The Physics and Biology departments also undertook municipal-level collective lesson preparation in Changchun and won high praise from participating teachers.

Teaching and research groups jointly studied the new curriculum standards, explored new teaching methods and developed new assessment approaches while focusing on classroom practice. The school continued to carry out demonstration lessons for young teachers. A total of 416 demonstration lessons were held this year. In the second half of the year, the school launched a lesson-recording activity for distinguished teachers. Forty-three teachers uploaded full-class recordings to the premium lesson replay platform. Each teaching and research group also provided short videos explaining key and difficult points for the platform. These two activities have provided high-quality materials for students to make up for learning gaps.

The Education Group held several special meetings on primary-junior high school transition across its three campuses. It effectively broke down barriers between educational stages, pooled the educational strengths of the three campuses and built a new pattern of integrated education. The Group precisely aligned the curriculum systems and teaching methods of primary and junior high schools to strengthen the foundation for students’ academic development and help them achieve smooth transition and sustained progress.

It promoted integration through transition and improvement through integration, injecting strong impetus into the high-quality development of the Education Group and pushing the quality of school-running to a new height.

This year, with the five-sphere integrated education and soul-shaping activities, our educational path expanded to new dimensions.

In 2025, the school further explored the educational connotation of activity-based education. It carefully designed and launched a series of campus activities with innovative forms, rich connotations and distinctive features. Like bright stars, these activities illuminated the growth path of students and added a splendid color to campus life at Nanhu.

Various activities integrated fun, practice, knowledge and ideological guidance. They not only enriched students’ after-school life but also cultivated their comprehensive competencies in an all-round way. Every Nanhu student enlightened their mind, nourished their heart and grew through practice in these activities.

Culture and sports empowered students and released youthful vitality. The school continued to hold featured cultural and sports activities including the Hiking Festival, Campus Sports Meet, Recitation Contest and Campus Singer Competition. It also invited the Provincial Song and Dance Troupe to present elegant art performances at Nanhu. Competitive events such as tug-of-war, basketball and football ignited students’ passion for sports. Students cultivated aesthetic appreciation in rhythm, strengthened their bodies through exercise and gathered strength in team competitions.

Activities including Current Affairs Forum, Little Lecturer and Story King built diverse stages for students. They encouraged students to express bravely, think deeply and show themselves confidently, broadening their horizons and improving comprehensive abilities through communication and interaction.

Integrating fun into subjects consolidated the foundation of growth. Focusing on the cultivation of core disciplinary competencies, the school launched brand subject activities including Chinese drama performances, classic singing contests, reading sharing sessions, English Culture and Arts Week and Physics Carnival.

It inspired practical and innovative thinking through handcraft model exhibitions of geography, biology, history and handcraft works exhibitions of physics and chemistry. It improved students’ subject application abilities through activities including the Biology Microscope Operation Skills Competition, Geography and Biology Knowledge Contest and Politics and History Mind Map Competition.

These interesting subject activities took learning beyond textbooks and rooted it in practice. They effectively stimulated students’ enthusiasm for knowledge, truly promoted learning through competitions and improved quality through practice, helping students gain knowledge and advance their competencies.

Forging souls and nurturing people deepened patriotism. Taking themed activities as an important carrier, the school carried out in-depth ideological guidance. It held a series of themed education activities including honoring martyrs on Qingming Festival, strengthening campus safety awareness, chorus competition in memory of the May Fourth Movement, watching the September 3 military parade together, observing a moment of silence in memory of the September 18 Incident, celebrating the 76th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China, art performance in memory of the December 9 Movement and watching patriotic films.

These activities deeply integrated safety education, gratitude education, revolutionary tradition education and patriotic education. They guided students to cherish the memory of martyrs, respect life, foster patriotism and strengthen their ambition to serve the country. They helped students establish the national spirit of constant self-improvement, pass on the red gene from generation to generation and take root youthful ideals in their minds.

Integrating knowledge with practice broadened the boundaries of growth. Nanhu students stepped out of campus to museums, science and technology centers, planning exhibition halls and rural fields. They actively participated in museum courses, labor practice courses and comprehensive practice courses for new students.

During study tours in cultural venues, students traveled between history and technology to nourish their minds and elevate their cognition. Through farming practice in the fields, they experienced sowing and harvesting, understood the value of labor and gained the joy of growth. Through comprehensive practice training, new students tempered their will, ignited youthful aspirations and pursued the dream of building a strong country. They truly pursued true knowledge in practice and understood growth in experience.

Student clubs gathered strength and empowered personalized development. The school built a diversified growth platform and offered nearly 60 distinctive student clubs to cover all students’ interests. Students explored their potential, showed their individuality, exchanged skills and progressed together in clubs. They shone with unique brilliance through independent exploration and teamwork, developing their strengths and improving their abilities.

This year, guided by noble teacher ethics and empowered by the Double Reduction Policy, our educational journey took new steps.

The school has always put the construction of teacher ethics and professional conduct at the top of faculty development. Through regular special training on teacher ethics, lectures on exemplary teachers’ deeds, warning education and teacher ethics commitment activities, the school guided teachers to abide by professional norms and cultivate noble sentiments.

At the all-teacher meeting for the new semester, school leaders specially emphasized teacher ethics, professional conduct and daily management, strengthening the professional principle of “Profound learning makes a teacher, and noble conduct sets an example”. At homeroom teacher meetings, the school called for establishing a new image of homeroom teachers and encouraged teachers to devote themselves to education with a positive and sunny spirit.

We relied on platforms such as collective lesson preparation and reading sharing sessions to promote teachers to cultivate teacher ethics in professional growth and practice professional conduct in classroom teaching, creating a clean, dedicated and positive educational atmosphere.

At the same time, the school firmly implemented the national Double Reduction Policy, and promoted it systematically from multiple dimensions including homework management, classroom quality improvement, after-school services and comprehensive evaluation. We strictly controlled the total amount and time of homework and promoted tiered, flexible and personalized homework design.

Relying on the school-based curriculum system, club activities and subject featured activities, we met students’ needs for all-round and personalized development. Through a series of measures including efficient classroom research, AI-empowered teaching, interdisciplinary thematic learning and primary-junior high school transition teaching research, we continuously improved classroom teaching quality and educational effectiveness, truly realizing “reducing burdens without reducing quality and increasing efficiency to empower growth”.

This year, with school and family working hand in hand, our joint educational strength gathered new momentum.

In 2025, the school continued to deepen the home-school co-education system, innovate home-school communication forms and enrich home-school cooperation content. Based on the existing Parent Academy and Parent Study Society, the school established the 2025 Home-School Guardians Alliance.

The school also invited education experts and psychological experts to give special lectures and share scientific parenting methods. It invited parents of outstanding students to campus to share practical experience. Parent reading sharing sessions, parent lecturer groups and other activities were carried out regularly, allowing parents to participate deeply in school education and forming a good pattern of “school leadership, parent participation and collaborative education”.

Through the joint efforts of school and family, a solid bridge has been built for students’ growth, making the joint force of education warm and powerful.

This year, with steady development and prominent advantages, our high school education achieved a new leap forward.

In 2025, the new campus of our high school, adjacent to the new junior high school campus, was successfully completed. The campus has a grand scale and a design that combines modern sense and humanistic spirit.

In 2025, our high school adhered to the educational path of “taking art as the boat and teaching as the oar” and paid close attention to the growth pace of every student. Professional courses and cultural courses were scientifically proportioned and promoted in coordination, enabling every student to receive precise guidance and achieve dual improvement of comprehensive quality and professional ability. It continued to write the educational legend of “excellent progress from ordinary start”.

The 2025 graduating class handed in an impressive answer sheet with hard work and wisdom. The pass rate of the unified art examination and additional tests reached 100%. The undergraduate admission rate hit a new high. Thirty-three students were admitted to their ideal universities. Among them, Huang Yile, Li Xinran and other students were admitted to Double First-Class and 211 universities including Fuzhou University and Yanbian University.

Every admission letter not only witnessed the realization of students’ dreams but also demonstrated the solid effectiveness of our school’s distinctive educational path.

The old year has borne fruitful achievements, and the new journey leads us to a bright future. In 2025, we moved forward with firm steps. In 2026, we are full of confidence. May we continue to take passion as our boat and wisdom as our sail, move forward steadily in the long river of time, and jointly draw a more splendid educational picture for Nanhu.
